Medical massage draws on some of its techniques from wellness massage.
However, there are a few techniques that make our medical massage unique. These techniques include lymphatic drainage, tender point treatment, and contract/relax stretching. These techniques are most effective during the acute stage of healing. This is because during the acute stage of healing the patient usually still has some inflammation from events such as whiplash from an auto accident or an inflamed shoulder from a workplace injury. And all of these techniques are a lighter touch that helps provide relief without hard pressure on an inflamed area.
Currently, we are billing for auto accidents and workplace injuries:
- In order to bill for an auto accident, we will need the patient's name, address, and date of birth, the patient's auto insurance information, the date of injury and a prescription that includes the frequency, diagnoses, and duration.
- In order to bill for a workplace injury, we will need the patient's name address and date of birth, the claim number, the date of injury and a prescription from the attending physician.
